This all began when my son turned 6 and started school full-time ~ I learned how to drive a school bus so that I could be home when both my children left for school and returned home.

I drove for 5-1/2 years when the opportunity for full-time in the office became available (actually I was the only one in the office!) and went for it!  Four years later, and 6 more women in the office later, I had the chance to do a 4-year University level night school course, and be promoted into management.  Wow, what beautiful opportunities!

As a management team we decided that we needed  a Discipline Workshop but how was this supposed to look?  The drivers already knew to fill out the discipline form and take it to the Principal.  Okay so what else was needed?  In 1995 and into 1996 I was able to attend Landmark Education for 5 of their personal development courses ~~ this was when this workshop was brought into fruition.  It became clear that what drivers needed to help them with their students was a communication ‘tool kit’ to allow them to keep open the lines of communication between themselves and their students.  The power of this workshop became evident when the drivers and staff of our company started to see differences happening in all parts of their lives, not just on the bus.  So it began…..
